Welcome to SF Team Tibet

 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED NOW
to help Tibet at San Jose State University
  • When: July 19th - Aug 4th;  Monday-Friday 10-4pm (Volunteer for one or more days.)
  • What: San Jose State University (SJSU). SJSU is the official processing center for over 600 US Olympians and Trainers going to Beijing this August.

  • SF Team Tibet shuttle will leave Berkeley at 10am everyday and return by 6pm.

All the Team U.S.A. athletes will be camping at the SJSU between July 21 and August 4, before being flown to Beijing and we want to take this opportunity to reach out to the athletes urging them to keep Tibet in their mind while participating in the games.

For this 2 week campaign, we will need at-least 12 volunteers everyday. We hope a lot of you will come forward to sign-up for at-least a day or two between July 21 and August 4, 2008. SF Team Tibet is making arrangements for the transportation of the volunteers with a 12-15 seater van. All the interested volunteers can sign up at the Friday night vigil at the Downtown Berkeley BART or email- < This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it >

SF Tibetan Activists Travel to Eugene, Oregon to Meet US Olympic Athletes

Twenty members of SF Team Tibet, including TYC and SFT activists, made the long drive to the University of Oregon, at Eugene on June 28th, to attend the 2008 US Olympic Team track and field trials, appealing to the athletes to stand up for Tibet in Beijing. The events included a peaceful protest and rally at a park at the U of Oregon, and handing out good luck packages to the athletes that included a letter of appeal to help Tibet.
